When we dress our selves, often the last touch is a necklace, or earrings, or some other adornment. Think of accessories as the finishing touches for the rooms in your home. They can be elegant, whimsical, humorous or artistic. But without these interior objects, a room can look like a plain Jane. The challenge with accessories is their placement. If used without the ‘eye’ and skill of an interior designer, accessories become just “things”. Instead of careful staging by a professional, they become clutter. They don’t add any attraction to a room’s overall effect. You could be talented in finding interesting accessories, but without the addition of careful placement, they add nothing to the overall look.
