Dining & Family Room design plan

Welcome to my blog!

This is a two part blog. Today I will share with you the Design Plan for a Living & Dining Room interior design project. Part two will be the "Living & Dining Room Reveal!"

This project is a great sample of what a Du interiors UltimateDesign Package” looks like.

The main focus was to create a complete design plan for the living room and make recommendations for purchases for the Dining Room and Entry to tie all of these spaces together.

We used many of the pieces that the client already owned and simply added the finishing touches to pull each of these spaces together. We selected big ticket items that are timeless and built to last and we personalized each of these spaces with punches of color and fun accessories that can be easily and relatively inexpensively changed in the future.

The before…

What to keep?
Wall color, the dining room table & chairs + square wall mirror + Beige sofa

The Inspiration…Client’s love for blues & orange tones.

The short version is that we relocated the TV into the living room so this family of four and a lovely dog could hang out there more often …since the space was not used much. (I will share the new living room space with you in the future. In this message, it’s about the kitchen). ©Elle M Photography ©Elle M Photography Moving the TV created a gathering space that was inviting and cozy and closer to the kitchen/island area. Everyone likes to be near the food! Paint is a wonderful way to create change.  The kitchen cabinets set the tone and, fortunately, this family is not afraid of bringing color into their home.
