Dream Houses!

Enjoy these wonderful ideas from Dream Houses!

The incredible homes in this year's Northwest Natural Street of Dreams are some of the best I have ever toured in my 15 years as an interior designer, particularly the setting in a vineyard overlooking the majestic Mt. Hood. I have been to many home tours in the United States and other countries during those years.

Here I am showcasing interior design highlights with the help of Shelly Pinnock of Elle M. Photography.
To die for!  Lighted Wall Sconces on the fireplace and attractive wood floor.

Marvelous oversized chandelier plus integrated indoor/outdoors.
Amazing craftsmanship on the wall.

Yes, you can incorporate different trim colors!

Glass door that turns into an awning when open.
Great example of scale and proportion -- large chandelier with combination of wing back chairs and benches.

Exquisite chandelier and beautiful display of woodwork plus a pitched ceiling make for a beautiful bedroom.
Here's a warm and beautiful space with glass-framed cornerless door system connecting the indoors to the outdoor cooking space. The large chandelier and use of different materials achieve the look.

Love the use of color here ...gold, brown, pink, gray and shades of blue-green on a warm white background wall color.

The symmetry in this room is outstanding, from the built-ins to the lighting and furniture layout.
I hope you enjoyed my picture tour.
A big thanks to Elle M. photography for these amazing photographs.

I will be sharing more pictures from two other Street of Dream homes in my next blog.

Stay tuned and happy dreams!

Oh, the joy of accessories!

Du interiors project A person can have a lovely home with nice things and it can look attractive but the overall effect is that nothing really grabs the eye.  What could make the pleasantly ordinary come alive are well-placed accessories. It is with decorative objects that a home gets its personality. Their color, form, texture and design transform a room from OK to “wow”. Du interiors It could be achieved by adding just one oversize art (bathroom below),  one interesting object (the metal display  ladder blanket below),  or a collection of things that are distinctive and eye-catching like the 3 candle-wall sconces in the bedroom below. For some, adding that out-of-the-ordinary vase or arrangement or piece of art does the trick.  Du interiors Master Bedroom Du interiors Bedroom Du interiors Bedroom Objects give rooms personality.  You may be able to achieve this yourself.
