Are the rooms in your house giving you the blahs?

No worries. Here are some easy eye-pleasing design suggestions during our nesting seasons.

Every season designers unveil a “new” color. Why not give it a try? For example, if your living room is mostly blues and grays, a pop of yellow is delightfully cheerful. It can be as simple as a vase full of yellow flowers or a couple of lovely marigold pillows.

Mustard orange, blue green, dusty blush or pink grapefruit  are also colors to refresh any room.

A new lighting fixture is another way to alter a room and add depth and elegance…and make a statement!
“Pharmacy” lamps for reading invite attention, as do new chandeliers in your dining room and entry. Plug-in pendants are another idea or wall sconces above nightstands. They certainly brighten fall/winter evenings.

Rearrange or swap out furniture and display and use pieces  in different ways and purposes, thereby uplifting the look of your home.
For instance, change the flow in your rooms by moving furniture, angling pieces differently or making your fireplace a focal point.

Use a storage container as a side table; put a lamp from the living room in the bedroom. You don’t always have to go out and buy new things, if you get creative. The difference can be startling.

Professionals save you time and money …and costly mistakes.

Happy Fall,
