Always add nature

A styling element every home needs...

As temperatures drop and leaves fall from the trees, adding greenery inside can help ease the winter blues. Here are places where plants can bring style and good cheer to your home.
In a white room with warm wood, a few strategically placed plants provide all the personality and color that’s needed. Elegant and cozy!

Natural or faux plants and flowers can transform a space all on their own, and for relatively little money. When paired with elegant, traditional details such as a high-quality antique sofa, a sparse, modern interior can feel downright upscale with a glass vase with flowers.

To create a calm aura in your bedroom you can add a small vase that soothe you and bring you joy. Here we have fresh flower on the left and faux flowers on the right.

Flowers and foliage are your best winter accessory for the kitchen. They will bring cheer to your kitchen even in the dead of winter.
Blooming fresh flowers on an island tinted in a similar décor accent color looks downright joyful in what can only be described as one very happy-looking kitchen. Spending any amount of time here surely would chase away the winter blues!

Branches tend to last much longer than freshly cut flowers, so be on the lookout for available options at your favorite floral shop. Sweet huck and winterberry branches have bright red berries and will look pretty for weeks.
As another alternative to flowers, look for large leaves to display in a vase. They offer a cost-effective way to bring life to a room during gray winter months and can last a long time.

Tip: Simply changing the water in the vase every few days will go a long way in preserving stems and branches.
Tip: To keep cut flowers fresh longer, make your own preservative, similar to the ingredients in those little packets often included with a purchase from a florist. Fill a large vase with about a quart of warm water, adding 3 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons white vinegar. The sugar nourishes the flowers, while the vinegar inhibits bacterial growth in the vase

“Are artificial plants out of style?” I’m here to tell you that those of us lacking green thumbs find them to be a useful decorating tool that, when done right, are a tasteful addition to any décor.
They are an easy way to bring some color and texture into a room without the seemingly impossible task of keeping actual houseplants alive.

Here’s how you, too, can decorate with artificial plants that’ll stay green no matter what J.

While there’s a bit of a stigma associated with fake plants (particularly low-quality fake plants that don’t look anything like the real deal), that doesn’t stop me and shouldn’t stop you. I love using plants in my décor.

Happy Holidays! And cheers to a happy New Year!
